Traditionally, seamless switchers with 2 scalers had 1 locked to preview and 1 locked to the program output. Transitions were simply swapping the scalers between preview and program. This placed significant restrictions on special effects such as Picture in Picture (PiP) and Keying. The Eagle 200 removes those restrictions by treating the scalers simply as layers.
