I've had a lot of fun this Spring.  We've picked up a handful of new lines and I'm the first one to get excited about the new stuff.  I want it for myself, I want you to want it.  There's a lot of great gear out there and LED lighting is the next big change in the way you'll do things. 

You've probably heard about the proposed elimination of incandescent ligthbulbs for your home or office.  That expected change has already caused one manufacturer to get out of the business of making incandescent theatrical lamps (bulbs).  When there are no more lamps (bulbs) being produced, your fixtures and dimmers may become obsolete. 

What will happen is anyone's guess at this point.  Maybe we'll see dimmable LED elements for theatrical fixtures, just like we see them for home use, but it doesn't look that way - at least not yet. 

So far, it's looking like LED fixtures may become at least part of the answer.  They require no dimmers, no incandescent lamps, and most can change colors.  Imagine any color combination from one fixture - without having to get up on a ladder to change gel material. 

I know; that sounds all well and good, but where should you start?
